Dana Keane

Vice President Clinical Affairs at Optos

Dana Keane has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Dana started their career in 2005 as an Editorial Assistant at Natural Standard, where they performed statistical analysis of clinical trials and authored newsletters and journal articles. Dana then worked as an Imaging Research Associate at Perceptive Informatics (Parexel) in 2006, followed by roles as a Clinical Research Associate and Clinical Study Leader at Optos from 2006 to 2010. In 2010, they joined CollabRx as a Clinical Project Manager for a short period of time. Dana later returned to Optos in 2010 and held various positions including Clinical Trial Manager, Senior Clinical Trial Manager, Director of Clinical, and Clinical Affairs Director until 2017. Since 2017, Dana has been serving as the Vice President of Clinical Affairs at Optos. In addition to their clinical research roles, they are also involved in the literary field as a Book Reviewer and Influencer at NetGalley since 2019. Alongside their professional career, Dana has been an Editorial Advisory Board Member and New England Chapter Secretary at the Association of Clinical Research Professionals from 2011 to 2014.

Dana Keane holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Regulatory Affairs from Northeastern University. Dana also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the same institution. In addition to their degrees, Dana has obtained various certifications including Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA) from ACRP, Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) from SoCRA, and completed a course on Vaccine Trials: Methods and Best Practices from Coursera.
