Estelle Boland

Estelle Boland has a diverse work experience in engineering roles. Starting in 2008, they completed an internship at Shelter Centre. In 2010, they worked as an Intern at Meso Design, contributing to product development and CAD design. From 2011 to 2013, Estelle was a Development/Production Engineer at Lombard Medical Technologies, where they played a crucial role in process improvement, technical issue resolution, and clean room equipment design. Estelle then joined Gas Sensing Solutions in 2014 as a Production/Design Engineer, responsible for various aspects of mechanical engineering, including product design, process improvement, and procurement. Estelle joined Dyson in 2015 as a Design Engineer, dedicating their expertise to the company until 2017. Estelle then worked for Optos, starting as a Mechanical Design Engineer and later advancing to the role of Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. Their responsibilities at Optos included opto-mechanical design for retinal imaging devices, cross-functional collaboration, and design ownership from concept to production.

Estelle Boland pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Product Design Engineering from both the University of Glasgow and The Glasgow School of Art. Estelle attended these institutions from 2007 to 2011.
