Gareth Steer

Gareth Steer began their work experience in 2001 as the General Manager Nordic Vision Care at Johnson & Johnson. Gareth then joined Bausch and Lomb in 2006, initially as the Managing Director and later as the Vice President EMEA Surgical. In 2010, they became the Managing Director at Optegra. In 2015, they served as the Business Unit Head - Surgical at Alcon, a Novartis company. Currently, Gareth Steer holds the position of Vice-President European Sales at Optos since 2016.

Gareth Steer pursued their education chronologically, starting with their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Microbiology, General from the University of Kent, which they obtained from 1981 to 1984. Following this, they attended CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing from 1988 to 1989, earning a Diploma in Marketing. Finally, they pursued further education at The Open University, where they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business, spanning from 1993 to 1997.
