Miguel A. Preciado has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Miguel A. is currently working at Optos as an Applied Research Manager since October 2022. Miguel's work experience also includes a role as a Marie Curie IEF Named Researcher at Aston University from September 2011 to September 2013, where they lectured in "Digital Transmission" and conducted research on fiber Bragg gratings for laser signal processing in optical communications and sensing.

Miguel A. started their career as a Designer Engineer at ASML from October 2010 to August 2011, focusing on the development and improvement of the optical system module used for wafer alignment routines in the photolithographic process.

Miguel holds a PhD in photonics from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, where they completed their research from October 2005 to February 2010 under the supervision of Prof. Miguel A. Muriel.

Prior to their PhD, they worked as a Technologic consultant at Accenture from February 2004 to September 2005, providing IT solutions for pharmaceutical companies and governmental entities. Miguel A. also had a role as a Junior Programmer at SHS VIVEON AG in 2003.

Throughout their career, Miguel has gained expertise in various areas, including optical devices for retinal imaging, opto-mechanical design, photonics, fiber optics, image processing, AI, and laser signal processing.

Miguel A. Preciado obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering with a focus on Signal Processing from the Universidad de Sevilla in the years 1996 to 2002. Miguel A. then pursued further studies at the Universidad Politénica de Madrid from 2005 to 2010, where they earned both a Master's and a PhD degree. Miguel A.'seducational focus during this period was on Photonics, Fiber Optics, and Signal Processing.
