Zarqaa Shaikh

Zarqaa Shaikh, CFA, has extensive experience in investment management, currently serving as Managing Director for Completion Portfolio Strategies within Total Portfolio Management at OPTrust since September 2017. Previous roles at OPTrust include Director of Multi-Strategy Investments and Principal, focusing on hedge funds, venture capital, and emerging market equities. Previously, Zarqaa worked as an Associate Portfolio Manager and held positions as an Investment Analyst in both Capital Markets and Emerging Alternatives. Early career experience includes roles at Triage in Corporate Development, as a Finance Analyst Intern at Right To Play, and as a Private Equity Associate and Analyst at Starling International Management Limited, a pioneering private equity group in the Middle East. Education includes an MBA from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management and a B.Com. in Finance from the University of Wollongong in Dubai.
