Jakob Hunsballe

Jakob Hunsballe is a seasoned software developer with significant experience in various domains, including real-time computer vision, game AI technology, and low latency image processing. Currently serving as a Senior Software Developer at Optum Computational Engineering since May 2024, Jakob is also a Co-Founder of MayFly AI, specializing in advanced image processing and API development using C++ and Python. Previously, Jakob held senior engineering roles at Grazper, focusing on deep learning applications for FPGAs, and at Unity Technologies, where high-performance multi-threaded code was developed for game AI. Jakob's career initiated with software engineering positions at Capres A/S, Io-Interactive, and multiple roles at Københavns Universitet, contributing to web development and AI systems. Jakob holds a Master's Degree in Physics and Astrophysics from the University of Copenhagen, completed in 2005.
