Almila Kakinc

Almila Kakinc, MSN RN, serves as an RN Practice Manager at Optum, starting in June 2024, following a long-term role as Editor In Chief at The Thirlby since October 2014, where responsibilities include writing, editing, and managing a team focused on wellness content. With previous experience as a Triage Nurse and RN Lead at The Polyclinic and a Labor and Delivery Nurse at Swedish Hospital, Almila has a strong clinical background. Additionally, experience includes public relations, marketing, and content creation roles at various organizations, enhancing skills in communication and strategic engagement. Almila holds a Master’s degree from Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and has academic credentials in Integrative Medicine from Duke University and a degree in Anthropology and English Literature from Mount Holyoke College.
