Carolyn Monroe

Carolyn Monroe is an experienced healthcare professional with a strong background in clinical operations and nursing. As the Director of Clinical Operations at Optum from February 2024 to July 2024, Carolyn provided guidance to managers and clinicians on health care and business initiatives. Prior to this role, Carolyn served as the Director of Clinical Operations at UnitedHealth Group from January 2013 to October 2023, managing a team of nurse practitioners in the HouseCalls program and ensuring high-quality care while achieving business objectives. Earlier in the career, Carolyn worked as a HouseCalls Provider, delivering annual wellness visits for Medicare members, and held nursing roles at Hackensack University Medical Center, Dominican College as adjunct faculty, and Visiting Nurse Service of New York as a Public Health Nurse. Carolyn holds a Master’s degree in Adult Nurse Practitioner/Holistic Nurse Practitioner from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Dominican College.
