Kumara Guru Karuppusamy is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and leadership roles. Currently serving as Director of Software Engineering at Optum since June 2018, Kumara has previously held positions such as Lead Software Engineer at the same company. Additionally, Kumara contributes to Hartford Public Schools as a School Governing Council Member and serves as Treasurer for the Breakthrough North Magnet PTO, both since August 2020. Prior experience includes over a decade at Cognizant, progressing from Software Engineer to Software Engineering Manager. Kumara holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Textile Technology from PSG College of Technology, attained in 2006.
