Martin Hummel

Martin Hummel is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in IoT innovation, IAM security architecture, and enterprise security across various organizations. Currently serving as a Technology Senior Principal Engineer at Optum since April 2015, Hummel oversees the innovation strategy for the Enterprise Device Gateway, collaborating with major health and wellness device providers. Previous roles include Digital Workforce Experience Director and Enterprise Architecture Director at Cigna, where Hummel expanded security practices and managed complex digital communication projects. With a foundational background in IT security and systems analysis, Hummel has contributed to the development of Private Key Infrastructures and security protocols at several leading companies, including Aetna and Creative Change. Hummel holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Systems Engineering from the University of Connecticut.
