Mark Ranson is a seasoned insolvency practitioner and chartered accountant with extensive experience in restructuring and recovery across various firms. Currently, Mark serves as a Partner at Opus Business Advisory Group, specializing in distressed and insolvent business situations within Yorkshire and the North East. Prior roles include Restructuring, Recovery & Insolvency Partner at Armstrong Watson, where services were delivered across a network of offices, and Restructuring and Recovery Partner at Baker Tilly. Mark also established the first Recovery department at Horwath Clark Whitehill (Yorkshire) LLP, which became highly profitable. Mark's career began at Grant Thornton, progressing from graduate recruit to managerial roles within the Recovery department. Mark holds a BA in Accounting and Management Control from Sheffield Hallam University.
