Meng Yuan

Meng Yuan is a Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne, specializing in the design and evaluation of retrieval systems for domain-specific collections. With a PhD in Information Retrieval, they have conducted advanced research focusing on machine learning algorithm evaluation and user simulations using LLM to analyze search behavior. Previously, Meng served as a Demonstrator and Research Assistant at the University of Melbourne, where they supported students and analyzed research trends. Currently, they are advancing retrieval-augmented generation and large language model training protocols while remaining passionate about astronomy and open knowledge sharing.
