Emilio Cagmat has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Emilio started their career in 1998 as a Quality Control employee at NEC Toppan Circuit Solutions, Phils. Inc. From 2002 to 2004, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Central Florida. Emilio then joined the University of Florida in 2005 as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant until 2010. During this time, they gained experience in teaching and research. In 2010, Emilio became a Scientist at Banyan Biomarkers, specializing in drug and biomarker discovery for traumatic brain injury and chronic traumatic encephalopathy victims. In 2014, they joined Oragenics, Inc as a Scientist and the University of Massachusetts Lowell as a Client/Consultant. Throughout their career, Emilio has demonstrated a strong passion for scientific research and has contributed to various projects and studies.

Emilio Cagmat has a diverse education history. Emilio pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines Los Baños between 1992 and 1997. Later, from 2002 to 2004, they attended the University of Central Florida, where they earned a Master of Art degree in Exercise Physiology. Emilio then went on to enroll at the University of Florida, where they completed two separate programs. Firstly, from 2006 to 2010, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Chemistry. Secondly, they specialized further in Analytical Chemistry and received an additional Master of Science degree from the University of Florida, studying from 2007 to 2009.
