Robert Barron is a Partner with Berger Singerman LLP, an 85+ Florida based business law firm with four offices in Florida. Robert is a corporate and commercial real estate business attorney in the firm's Business, Finance and Tax Team with significant experience representing clients involved in real estate asset and financing transactions, construction, corporate acquisition and disposition transactions, venture capital transactions, commercial loan transactions and restructurings. Robert also advises non-profit companies, educational organizations and other charities in connection with the use of entrepreneurial strategies to obtain capital and to accomplish their mission and purpose. Before joining Berger Singerman LLP in Florida, he practiced law in Dallas, Texas with Thompson & Knight LLP and Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP and, thereafter, was a managing director of a private merchant banking firm with offices in New York, New York and Boca Raton, Florida.

Robert's board service includes the Health Profession Division of Nova Southeastern University, Henderson Behavioral Health Inc., Habitat for Humanity Broward County, Inc., the Executive Council for the Business Law Section of the Florida Bar, and other local non-profit organizations.

He has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America, Corporate Law and Real Estate Law, Florida's Super Lawyer, Florida Trend Magazine's Legal Elite and with other honors and awards. He is a graduate of Oral Roberts University (B.S., Business Administration, minor in New Testament (B.S., 1984, cum laude) and a graduate of Louisiana State University Law Center (J.D., 1987, valedictorian, Order of the Coif and Law Review candidate). Robert is admitted to the Bar associations of Florida, Texas and Louisiana.

Robert has previously served on the ORU Alumni Board of Directors. As a student at ORU, he was a Resident Advisor and was a member of the Summer Music Ministry Team – Steadfast, as the primary speaker for the team.
