Nicole O'Brien is an experienced communications professional with a diverse background in various industries such as banking, tourism, media, and government. Nicole holds a BA (Hons) in American Studies and History from the University of Canterbury and a Graduate Diploma in Journalism from Auckland University of Technology. Nicole currently serves as the Manager of Internal and Portfolio Communications at Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children, where Nicole also held several acting general manager roles. Prior to that, Nicole was the Communications Manager at Auckland War Memorial Museum and a Communications Specialist at Auckland Council. Nicole has also worked in various roles at companies such as BNZ, ASB Bank, Tourism New Zealand, Sky Television, and Bauer Media Group NZ.
