Gabe Villasana

Gabe Villasana is a dynamic professional with extensive experience in technology and research. Currently serving as Co-Founder at GovEagle since November 2022 and as a Venture Partner at Orange Collective since January 2024, Gabe previously worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Stripe from August 2021 to October 2022. Gabe also contributed to deep learning research for glaucoma prognostication as an Assistant Research Scientist at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Medicine, from June 2020 to July 2021, while simultaneously holding a joint appointment with the Malone Center for Engineering in Healthcare. Additional roles include a stint as a Software Engineer in Autonomous Vehicles at Lyft in June 2020 and software engineering positions at MongoDB, Amazon, and The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. Gabe holds a Master of Science in Engineering with a focus on Applied Mathematics and Statistics and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Computer Science, both from The Johns Hopkins University, and completed a program at Y Combinator in 2023.
