Jessica H. has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jessica began their career as an intern at Weiss Research in 1999, followed by a brief role as an Assistant for the Ratings Department in 2000. In 2001, they joined the Auditor of State - Ohio, where they worked in various roles, including Staff Accountant, Deputy Finance Director, Interim Finance Director, and ultimately Chief Fiscal Officer until 2011. From 2011 to 2018, Jessica served as the Deputy Inspector General at the Ohio Inspector General's Office. Currently, they are employed at the Orange County Comptroller, holding positions such as Assistant Accounting Manager, Accounting Manager, and currently serving as the Deputy Director of Finance & Accounting since October 2021.

Jessica H. has a strong educational background in business and finance. Jessica obtained a Bachelor's degree in Finance from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. After completing their undergraduate studies, they continued their education at the same institution and earned a Master's degree in Accounting from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business from 2001 to 2002.

In addition to their formal education, Jessica H. has also obtained relevant certifications. In 2006, they became a Certified Public Accountant, although the institution from which they obtained this certification is unknown. Furthermore, in 2014, they acquired the certification of a Certified Inspector General Auditor from the Association of Inspectors General.

Orange County Comptroller

The Comptroller is an elected official answering directly to the citizens of Orange County and serves as a check and balance for the public in the use of County resources. This results in heightened levels of transparency, the protection of public assets, and the greatest accounting integrity possible. Services performed by the County Comptroller can be classified into three broad categories: Financial, Audit, and Records Administration. The Comptroller’s specific roles include serving as chief financial officer, county auditor, Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners, recorder of official records, and custodian of county funds and records.
