Mark Tester has over 25 years of experience in convention and event management. Currently serving as the Executive Director at the Orange County Convention Center since February 2020, Mark oversees an enterprise department for the Orange County government. Previously, Mark held the role of Director at the Austin Convention Center Department from January 2008 to February 2020, managing a significant annual budget and multiple venues. Mark's experience also includes serving as Senior Director of Convention Sales and Marketing for the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority and various positions at the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau, where Mark led a sales team that generated millions of room nights annually. Mark's career began at Sonesta Hotels, where Mark worked as both a Regional and National Sales Manager. Mark holds a BA in Communication from Purdue University.

The award-winning Orange County Convention Center (OCCC), located in the heart of Orlando's Convention Center District and only fifteen minutes from the Orlando International Airport, provides a multitude of event options in two beautifully appointed buildings - the West Building and North-South Building. The OCCC attracts more than 200 events to the Central Florida region annually. As a result, an estimated 1.5 million attendees contribute approximately $3 billion to the local economy each year.
