Molly Murphy is an experienced investment professional who has worked in various leadership roles throughout their career. Molly began their career at Fidelity Investments as a Fixed Income Specialist, where they worked as a Brokerage Sales Representative and a Fixed Income Trainer. Molly then moved on to Fifth Third Bank, where they served as a Portfolio Manager and Trust Officer, managing a significant portfolio of mutual funds and institutional client accounts. Molly's career continued at Seasongood Asset Management, where they co-founded the company and served as Chief Investment Officer, overseeing the investment processes and achieving significant asset growth. Molly then joined Mercy Health as Chief Investment Officer, leading investment programs and playing a key role in the internal Innovations Program. Currently, Molly is working as the Chief Investment Officer at Orange County Employees Retirement System, where they are responsible for leading global investment programs and utilizing human capital and technology to drive innovation and investment returns.
Molly Murphy obtained a Bachelor's degree in Finance, General from Miami University from 1985 to 1989. Molly then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, General from Xavier University, completing it in 1994. In 1999, Molly obtained a certification as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute.
Orange County Employees Retirement System
The Orange County Employees Retirement System (OCERS) provides retirement, death, disability, and cost-of living benefits to employees of the County of Orange and certain County special districts and agencies. OCERS is governed by a nine-member Board of Retirement that is responsible for managing a $21 billion dollar fund. For more than 75 years, OCERS has remained committed to fulfilling its fiduciary responsibility for the assets and administration of the System in a manner that assures prompt delivery of benefits and related services to the participants and their beneficiaries.
