Amanda Blazey has a diverse work experience that spans across various industries.
Amanda began their career as a Retail Associate at Bath & Body Works in 2014, where they focused on customer service and ensuring a positive store experience.
In 2013, they worked as the Arts and Entertainment Section Editor for the Quaker Campus Student Newspaper, where they managed writers and layout design for the weekly print edition.
At Whittier College, Amanda took on multiple roles such as Peer Mentor and Preceptor in 2014. In these roles, they provided guidance and support to incoming freshman and assisted a professor with teaching and organizing lessons.
In 2015, Amanda held the position of Social Media/Event Planning Intern at The Children's Museum at La Habra, where they organized family-centered events and managed content for the museum's social media platforms.
Amanda then became the Editor in Chief of The Quaker Campus, Whittier College's student newspaper, in 2015. In this role, they oversaw all aspects of production, including story selection, layout design, and distribution.
From 2016 to 2020, Amanda worked at Palace Entertainment, initially as a Marketing Coordinator and later as a Corporate Communications Specialist. Amanda collaborated closely with the CRM Manager, overseeing email blasts, newsletters, and social media content for the organization's theme and water parks across the United States.
Most recently, Amanda joined the Orange County School of the Arts in 2020 as a Marketing Associate. Amanda currently holds the position of Director of Marketing, where they are responsible for overseeing marketing initiatives and strategies for the school.
Amanda Blazey attended Whittier College from 2012 to 2016, where they pursued a major in English Literature and a minor in Studio Art. In 2015, they had the opportunity to study abroad at the Lorenzo de' Medici School, focusing on Studio Art and Art History. Prior to their college education, they obtained a High School Diploma and an International Baccalaureate Certificate from Sonora High School between 2009 and 2012.
