Fred Altensee has extensive experience in law enforcement and public service, currently serving as a Patrol Officer and Field Training Officer at the Winter Garden Police Department. In addition, Fred Altensee has held the position of Communications Coordinator for the Government since February 2001 and has also worked as a Public Records Specialist for the Orange County Supervisor of Elections since the same year. Fred Altensee holds a Master’s Degree in History from the American Public University System and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Columbia College.

The major duties of the Supervisor of Elections include: - Administer county, state and federal elections - Provide assistance and support for municipal elections - Uphold the Election Laws of the State of Florida - Registers eligible voters - Provide for absentee and early voting - Qualify candidates for office - Recruit, hire and train poll workers - Administer the provisions of the campaign reporting laws - Acquire and equip polling places - Provide voter outreach education and information - Maintain election equipment and supplies
