David Tran has had a diverse work experience. In 2017, they worked as a Remittance Processor at Commerce Bank. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at several places, including Metropolitan Community College-Kansas City as President of the Student Government Association and Mathematics Tutor, University of Missouri-Kansas City as General Tutor and Research Assistant, NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration as NASA L'SPACE Mission Concept Academy - Project Manager, Evergy as Electrical Design Engineering Intern, and Mortenson as Electrical Engineering Intern. In 2021, they worked at Publicity Providers Inc as an Electrical Engineer. Currently, they are working at General Motors as a Software Subsystem Validation Engineer and Orange EV as an Embedded Software Engineer, where they design, develops, and releases control software for various controllers and displays, provides troubleshooting of Software Systems’ issues of new/existing product development and current product equipment, and interfaces with key suppliers to create and improve select firmware to improve product performance.

David Tran began their educational journey in 2018 at Blue Springs High School, where they earned their High School Diploma. David then attended Metropolitan Community College-Maple Woods, where they earned an Associate's degree in Engineering. Currently, they are attending the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where they are pursuing a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Electrical & Computer Engineering and Physics, and a minor in Mathematics.
