Zach A.

Zach A. has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2006 at Connecticut College, where they served as the Film Department Assistant & Adjunct, managing work stations, server maintenance, camera kits and film lab hardware, as well as leading classes, evaluating and assigning grades for film projects and student papers. Zach also served as the Academic Advisory Board Chair, interviewing and assessing potential faculty candidates, administering evaluations of faculty and students within the department, and serving as a liaison between students & faculty regarding curriculum and departmental issues.

In 2008, Zach A. began working at Apple Inc. - Information Services & Technology, where they held several roles, including IS&T Field Systems Support, Manager - Genius Bar Repairs and Services, Creative Studio Lead & Project Lead, and Certified Creative Trainer and Technician. In 2015, they began working at Friends & Family as a Project Manager and Fabricator and Woodworking Shop Hand.

From 2015-2018, Zach A. worked at Milk as a Digital Asset Manager, devising strategies for the immediate use and long-term preservation of digital assets that span local servers, LTO tape catalogues, cloud storage and offsite facilities. Zach also served as the Digital Archive Systems Manager, creating a strategy for deployment and implementation of a new Digital Asset Management system from OrangeLogic (Cortex).

In 2018, Zach A. took on a Project Archivist role at the Brooklyn Museum, managing project implementation to make archival materials accessible to researchers and museum staff, as well as creating and documenting new workflows to migrate accession records, finding aids and archival collection data from legacy Microsoft Access databases into ArchivesSpace.

Most recently, in 2020, Zach A. began working at Orange Logic as a Senior Product Manager and Implementation - Digital Asset Management. In this role, they partnered cross-functionally with all internal teams to innovate and execute product initiatives across the company, served as the primary system administrator for the organization's Cortex environments, and formulated new solution designs and implemented programmatic changes and configurations.

Zach A. attended Connecticut College from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Film Studies and Video Production.
