Sonja Simmons has extensive experience in advocacy, counseling, and community support, currently serving as a Volunteer Victim's Advocate at the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office since December 2013. In addition, Sonja founded and serves as President of WOVEN Home, Inc., while also holding the position of CEO at Women of Vision, Empowerment & Notability, Inc. since April 2008. Previous roles include Life Counselor and Grant Writer at the Orangeburg/Calhoun Detention Center and Community Coordinator at Life Cathedral Ministries, focusing on youth mentorship and job referrals. Sonja's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from Liberty University and a Master's in Social Work and Bachelor's in Management & Communication from Adelphi University.
