Orangewood Foundation
John Luker has extensive work experience, primarily in finance and operations roles. John served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Orangewood Foundation & Samueli Academy, where they oversaw the operations and accounting functions and managed the development of the Samueli Academy campus and future residential facilities. Prior to that, they worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Hurtt Family Health Clinic, responsible for overseeing all financial operations and business development. John also held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Orange County Rescue Mission, where they managed financial operations, operations departments, and project management for construction projects. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Manager in the Audit Division at Deloitte and as a CPA at PwC.
John Luker attended the University of Florida from 1990 to 1995, where they obtained a Masters degree in Accounting.

Orangewood Foundation is a private, nonprofit organization founded in 1981. Our mission is to prepare foster and community youth to reach their greatest potential. Our programs focus on the areas of basic needs, housing, life skills & employment, and education. Support for our programs is based on our successful outcomes due to our extensive understanding of the needs of our clients and effective partnerships with public and private organizations. In our history we have helped over 90,000 youth. Beyond our programs, for thousands in our community Orangewood means “family,” “opportunity” and “hope.”
