Gerges Azmy

Gerges Azmy has a diverse work experience spanning over 16 years in various companies and roles. Gerges started their career in 2005 as a Software Developer at eKnowledge. Gerges then worked as a Solution Developer and later as a Senior Solution Developer at Link Development from 2006 to 2008.

In 2008, Gerges joined ITWORX as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were responsible for designing and developing software systems and providing technical leadership. Gerges later took on the role of Technical Architect, contributing to application quality and customer retention.

After leaving ITWORX, Gerges worked at TPAY Mobile as a Senior Technical Architect before transitioning to Vodafone as a Solutions Architect.

In 2020, Gerges founded Archista, where they served as the Founder and CTO. Gerges then co-founded Funnelll in 2021, where they held the position of Co-Founder & CTO.

Gerges'smost recent role was at Nacita Mobility Solutions (NMS) as the Chief Technology Officer from 2021 to 2023.

Currently, Gerges holds the position of Chief Technology Officer at Orascom Investment Holding, starting from 2023.

Gerges Azmy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Ain Shams University in Egypt, which they obtained from 2001 to 2005. Gerges has also acquired various certifications, including Machine Learning With Big Data, Introduction to Big Data Analytics, Hadoop Platform and Application Framework, Introduction to Big Data, Statistical Inference, Exploratory Data Analysis, Getting and Cleaning Data, R Programming, Reproducible Research, and The Data Scientist's Toolbox from Coursera. Additionally, they have obtained the TOGAF 9.1 certificate from The Open Group and the MCPD - Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (Windows Azure) and MCTS- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (SQL 2005) certifications from Microsoft.
