Oratorio Society of New York
Ongama Mhlontlo is an accomplished musician and educator with a diverse background in performance and administration. As a Co-Founder of The Class of Opera since October 2017, Ongama actively contributes to the development of operatic arts. Currently serving as a Choral Scholar for the Oratorio Society of New York and an Administration Assistant at Larchmont Music Academy, Ongama offers significant organizational and musical expertise. Additionally, Ongama teaches voice at the Bloomingdale School of Music until June 2024, following experience as a Professional Freelancer with Cape Town Opera. Ongama holds a Master's degree in Music from the Manhattan School of Music and a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from the University of Cape Town.

Oratorio Society of New York
The Oratorio Society of New York, the second oldest cultural organization in New York City, has been part the city's musical life since 1873. The Society’s 200 members come from all walks of life to volunteer their time for the joy of making music together. In addition to its concert programs, the Society works to further oratorio singing and provides young singers with the opportunity to advance their careers through the annual Lyndon Woodside Oratorio-Solo Competition.
