Matthew Furr

Matthew Furr is the Director and Global Head of Risk at Orbis Investment Management, a role they have held since 2013. Prior to this, they worked as a Portfolio Manager at Butterfield Group from 1996 to 2000 and as an Investment Analyst at Tewksbury Capital Management Ltd. from 2002 to 2006. Matthew also has experience as a Vice President at Nomura and was a Portfolio Manager at Meditor Group Ltd. from 2006 to 2011. They hold a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Dalhousie University, as well as an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management from New York University.
