Xiaoju Ni

Principal Scientist, Team lead at Orbit Discovery

Xiaoju Ni has held a number of positions in the scientific field. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay. Xiaoju then moved to Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, where they were a Research Fellow from 2013 to 2014. In 2014, they joined F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd as an Associate Research Scientist and Research Scientist, where they focused on drug discovery and preclinical studies of anti-viral agents (particularly Hepatitis B virus). Xiaoju also set up a primary human hepatocyte infection model, and coordinated in vitro and in vivo studies in CROs. In 2017, they joined Orbit Discovery as a Senior Scientist and Principal Scientist, Team Lead.

Xiaoju Ni obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in ENS-Cachan from École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay between 2007 and 2011. Prior to this, Ni obtained a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from East China Normal University between 2004 and 2007. Ni also participated in the Joint Graduate Program of the Ecoles Normales Supérieures (ENS Group of France) and ECNU from 2005 to 2007. Ni has also obtained certifications from Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England, Illumina, DONOVAN TRAINING ASSOCIATES LTD and Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
