Will Sherman possesses a strong background in aerospace engineering, with extensive experience in autonomous systems development and research. Currently a team member on the University of Maryland Autonomous Micro Air Vehicle Team, Will has contributed to the design and testing of autonomous drones for competitive challenges. As a software engineer intern at Orbit Logic and a researcher at the University of Maryland Motion Planning and Robotic Systems Lab, Will is involved in projects focusing on swarm capabilities in aerial vehicles. Previous experience includes a research assistant role at the University of Maryland Rotocraft Center, where variable pitch motors for quadcopters were analyzed, and collaboration at TU Delft in designing autonomous solar panel mechanisms. Will holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland, graduating in 2021.
