Kirsten Stoner, PhD, PE, serves as the Associate Director of Science & Technology at Novartis since January 2023. Prior to this role, Kirsten worked at Gyroscope Therapeutics as a Bioengineer focusing on Medical Devices from January 2021 to December 2022. Kirsten's experience includes serving as a Senior Clinical Research Scientist at DePuy Synthes Orthopedics, where responsibilities involved assessing Clinical Evaluation Reports for medical devices and collaborating with cross-functional teams on post-market evidence generation strategies. Additionally, Kirsten worked as a Senior Engineer at Exponent, optimizing MR imaging sequences and developing clinical studies for knee implant evaluations. The academic journey includes a PhD in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Iowa, a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, respectively, from Cornell University.
