Mark Skopal

Mark Skopal currently serves as Senior Vice President of Underwriting at Orbital Risk Capital since March 2024. Prior to this role, Mark held positions at Velocity Risk Underwriters, LLC from October 2017 to February 2024, where responsibilities included underwriting and small commercial underwriting. Mark's career began at Spruce Finance as Team Lead from September 2015 to September 2017 and included experience as a Marine Underwriter at The Hanover Insurance Group from July 2013 to February 2015. Mark's early career also featured a role as Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Lake Erie College from August 2010 to May 2013. Mark earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management from Lake Erie College in 2012, following a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in the same field in 2008.
