Operations Lead at Orbital Sidekick

Benjamin Lord has four years of experience in the field of operations. Benjamin started their career in 2021 as an Operations Lead at Orbital Sidekick. From 2017 to 2021, they worked as an Airborne Operations and Processing at Atlantic. Prior to that, they worked at NEOS GeoSolutions as a Remote Sensing Image Processing Specialist from 2010 to 2017. During their time at NEOS GeoSolutions, they provided image processing products for multispectral and hyperspectral imagery taken from various locations such as California, Pennsylvania and Argentina, as well as image interpretations and ground truthing. Benjamin also used ENVI to produce mineral classifications and other remote sensing interpretations using decision trees, spectral angle mapping and visual interpretation of multispectral (satellite) and hyperspectral (ITRES airborne as well as third party SPECTIR and HIVISTA) data for final mapping to clients using ArcGIS. Benjamin also spent a lot of time in these various locations doing ground based geology field work, such as nine months in Argentina and three months in Pennsylvania.

Benjamin Lord attended the University of Southampton from 2006 to 2009, where they earned a degree in Geography and Geology from the School of Geography. Benjamin then attended UCL from 2009 to 2010, where they earned a degree in Remote Sensing from the Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering field.
