Ted Love has spent their career in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, working to develop new treatments and cures for a variety of diseases. Ted currently serves as an advisor at Orca Bio, where they help the company develop new drugs and therapies.
Previously, Love served as the president and CEO of Global Blood Therapeutics, where they helped transition the company from a start-up to a global biopharmaceutical business. Ted also oversaw the development of voxelotor (GBT440), a drug that is currently in late-stage clinical development for the treatment of sickle cell disease.
Love has also served on the boards of several companies, including Seattle Genetics, Royalty Pharma, Biotechnology Innovation Organization, Portola Pharmaceuticals, Amicus Therapeutics, KaloBios, and Affymax. Ted has also served as the EVP and head of R&D at Onyx Pharmaceuticals, where they transformed the research and development organization into a robust team of accomplished individuals.
Ted Love has a B.A. from Haverford College in Molecular Biology, and a medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. Ted completed their residency in Internal Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and a fellowship in Cardiology at Harvard Medical School.
