Geoff McConohy

Geoff McConohy is a highly experienced engineer specializing in materials science and battery technology. Currently serving as a Senior Hardware Research Engineer at Orca Sciences since December 2024, Geoff previously held the role of Senior Ceramic Scientist at QuantumScape, where new failure analysis techniques for solid-state electrolyte materials were developed. As a Product Research Engineer at Sila Nanotechnologies Inc., innovative products enhancing lithium-ion battery performance were conceived and developed. Geoff's academic background includes a PhD in Materials Science from Stanford University, where significant research was conducted on solid electrolyte-lithium metal interfaces and lithium-air battery architecture.
