Daniel Helmdach

Daniel Helmdach has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Daniel worked for Orcan Energy AG, starting in 2019, where they served as the Head of Corporate Team from March 2022 to the present. Prior to that, they held the position of Executive Project Assistant from February 2019 to February 2022.

Before joining Orcan Energy AG, Daniel worked at Linde Engineering in 2017. Daniel completed their Master's Thesis at the company, focusing on CO2 utilization options and conducting a techno-economic assessment. Daniel also performed process modeling and evaluated results to determine economic conditions for profitability and quantify projected environmental benefits.

Daniel also had an internship at Linde Engineering in 2017, where they worked in Process Development. During this time, they conducted research on an electrochemical process, performed flowsheet simulation, and implemented process alternatives.

In 2016, Daniel worked as a Tutor in Thermodynamics at the Technical University Munich. Daniel prepared and conducted problem-based learning classes, created problem papers, and held mock exams.

Daniel's work experience also includes an internship at Clariant in 2015, where they worked in the 'Pilot Plant' Group. Daniel planned, carried out, and analyzed experiments for a biomass liquefaction process, optimizing the method and increasing throughput.

At the Technical University Munich in 2014, Daniel worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Biochemical Engineering. Daniel conducted experiments with chromatography columns and developed a graphical method to evaluate experimental results quickly and efficiently.

In 2012, Daniel worked as a Summer Worker in Manufacturing at INVENT GmbH. Daniel built products from light-weight composites, planned and documented work independently, and inspected the quality of hardened raw products.

Daniel Helmdach has an extensive education history, starting with an Early Study Program at Technische Universität Braunschweig from 2007 to 2009. Following that, they attended the University of Cambridge from 2015 to 2016 and obtained a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Advanced Chemical Engineering.
