Ana Paula Luiz

Ana Paula Luiz is a scientist with extensive experience in translational research and pain mechanisms. Currently serving as Scientist 1 at Orchard Therapeutics since September 2022, Ana Paula previously held the position of Associate Scientist in Discovery. At University College London, from May 2014 to August 2022, Ana Paula worked as a Research Associate focused on discovering new targets for acute and chronic pain treatment. Earlier roles included a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Science Without Borders, studying orofacial pain in mice, and a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neuroscience investigating pain in a Parkinson's disease model. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Pharmacology, a Master’s in Neuroscience, and a Bachelor's in Pharmacy, all from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina.
