Sean Moro

Sean Moro, Ph.D. has a rich and diverse work experience in various roles related to medical communications and scientific research. Sean started their career in 2008 as a Quality Control Coordinator at Shire and progressed through roles at Exiqon, Bausch + Lomb, and UC Irvine. Sean then moved on to roles at Allergan, Avanir Pharmaceuticals, and most recently, Orchard Therapeutics, where they currently hold the position of Director, Medical Communications. Sean's experience includes managing cross-functional teams for scientific publication strategies, collaborating on molecular dynamics studies, and training others in laboratory techniques.

Sean Moro earned their Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Brandeis University in 2008. Sean later completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with an emphasis in Structural Biology & Biophysics from UC Irvine in 2015. In 2020, they achieved certification as a Certified Medical Publication Professional™ from ISMPP and completed a Communication Strategies: Presenting with Impact course through the Professional Development - Harvard Division of Continuing Education in 2021.
