Tamas J. Laufer

Tamas J. Laufer is currently employed as a Research Associate at Orchard Therapeutics, starting in October 2023. Previously, Tamas served as a Manufacturing Intern at ViroCell Biologics, where involvement focused on producing viral vectors and gene-modified cells for clinical trials from June to September 2023. Tamas also held various roles at the Hungarian Youth Association, including Deputy Director from November 2020 to February 2023, and participated in outreach and community engagement initiatives at OUTLAND FESZTIVÁL. Experience at UCL included laboratory training in cell bioprocessing and biomanufacturing, complemented by an internship at Richter Gedeon Nyrt. Tamas's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Manufacture and Commercialisation of Stem Cell and Gene Therapies from UCL, coupled with a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemical Engineering with a focus on Regenerative Medicine.
