Amy Orlick Berman

Amy Orlick Berman has a diverse and extensive work experience in clinical operations and research. Amy is currently the Senior Director of Clinical Operations at Orchestra BioMed, a position they have held since December 2022. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2022, they served as the Executive Director of Global Clinical Operations at Optinose. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as the Vice President of Clinical Affairs at IlluminOss Medical.

Earlier in their career, Amy held various roles at Cordis, Johnson & Johnson Medical. From 2010 to 2014, they were an Associate Director, responsible for leading 6 clinical research programs and managing the departmental budget. From 2008 to 2010, they served as a Manager of Clinical Research, overseeing multiple product development projects and managing a team of direct reports. Amy also held the role of Manager of Medical Operations and Clinical Research from 2005 to 2008, where they established the first Medical Affairs Operations department and administered post-market studies and registries.

Prior to their time at Cordis, Amy worked as a Lead Clinical Project Manager at Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma America from 2003 to 2005, managing Cardiovascular clinical trials. Amy began their career at sanofi-aventis as a Senior CRA, conducting phase IIIb and IV clinical trials in various therapeutic areas.

Amy's early experience in the industry includes working as a Clinical Research Associate at PAREXEL from 1997 to 2000, where they progressed through positions of increasing responsibility and managed site management for multiple protocols in rheumatology.

Amy Orlick Berman earned a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Society from the University of Rochester in 1997. Amy later pursued a Master's in Public Health at Columbia University from 2004 to 2007.
