Rusty McNew, DNP, RN, serves as the Vice President of Clinical Regulatory Compliance and Operations at Ascension since February 2023. With over two decades of experience in healthcare leadership, McNew previously held roles such as System Chief Nursing Officer at United Surgical Partners International, Inc., and System Vice President of Clinical Quality & Patient Safety at Tenet Healthcare. McNew's extensive background includes publishing twenty-two editions of the "Emergency Department Compliance Manual" and leading significant initiatives in quality management, patient safety, and regulatory compliance across various health care settings. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Nursing Practice from American Sentinel College, a Master of Liberal Arts from Southern Methodist University, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington.
