Nicola Mathison

Nicola Mathison is an experienced Reporting Forensic Scientist at Orchid Cellmark since March 2012, specializing in the assessment, analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of biological evidence across various offence types. With a strong foundation in forensic science, Nicola possesses core scientific skills in DNA profiling, body fluid analysis, and the provision of expert testimony in court. Prior experience includes roles as a Forensic Specialist and Assistant Forensic Scientist at the Forensic Science Service from August 1995 to October 2011, focusing on sexual offence cases and DNA analysis. Nicola holds a BSc (Hons) in Applied Biological Sciences from The Manchester Metropolitan University, earned between 1989 and 1993.
