Maria Katz

Maria Katz is an experienced genetic counselor currently serving as the Lead Genetic Counselor and Product Specialist at Orchid since January 2023. Previously, Maria worked as a Certified Genetic Counselor at GENESCREEN COUNSELING, LLC from May 2021 to January 2023, and held the position of Prenatal Genetic Counselor at the University of Washington Medical Center from June 2020 to May 2021. Maria's extensive experience includes various internships focused on prenatal and cancer genetic counseling at several esteemed institutions, including Elmhurst Hospital Center, NYU/Bellevue Hospital, Weill Cornell Medicine, and Montreal Jewish General Hospital. Maria holds a Master of Science in Human/Medical Genetics from Sarah Lawrence College and has additional degrees in Cognition and Brain Sciences and Psychology from the University of Victoria.
