Nicholas Schuch has a diverse and extensive work experience. Nicholas started their career as a Classroom Support Technician at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they installed and maintained AV equipment, managed inventory, and provided on-site support for information technology. Nicholas then worked as a Baker at Great Harvest Bread Co. for a month before transitioning to a Lab Technician role at Duke University Health System.
In 2011, Nicholas joined UNC Health Care as a Research Specialist, where they ran various sequencing operations and gene expression profiling assays. Nicholas also prepared DNA libraries for sequencing on different platforms. Nicholas stayed in this role for seven years before moving on to become a Research Associate II at Q² Solutions. There, they continued their research work until 2020.
In 2020, Nicholas joined DMC Biotechnologies, Inc. as a Research Associate, working on research projects in biotechnology. After a year, they joined IngenuiTea Brews as a Barista, before transitioning to a Research Assistant role at Syngenta in 2022. Currently, Nicholas holds the position of Research Technologist at Orchid since March 2023.
Nicholas Schuch attended North Carolina State University from 2005 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry and Genetics. During the same period, they also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from North Carolina State University. Additionally, from 2006 to 2009, Nicholas pursued part-time studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, although their field of study during this time is unspecified.
