Gavan Carroll

Gavan Carroll, CFA CA, has over 20 years of experience in various roles in the finance industry. Gavan began their career as a Senior Accountant at KPMG Australia in 2000 before moving on to Credit Suisse in 2002. At Credit Suisse, they worked in Equity Derivatives Market Risk, specializing in scenario analysis and modeling of portfolios containing exotic equity derivatives. In 2004, they joined RBS as a Front Office Market Risk specialist, focusing on the valuation and modeling of structured equity derivative products. Carroll returned to Credit Suisse in 2006, where they held multiple roles including Equity Research, Director of Equities, and Director of Investment Banking. Gavan was notably ranked as the top specialist Hedge Fund Salesperson for Australia and was recognized as a top performer in sell-side alpha capture. In 2016, they joined Boutique Corporate Advisory, working in Investment Banking until 2017. Currently, since 2018, Carroll is the Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets at Ord Minnett.

Gavan Carroll, CFA CA holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Sydney. Gavan also obtained the Chartered Accountant certification from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. In addition, Gavan Carroll is a CFA Charterholder certified by the CFA Institute.
