Zalmar Zerna

Zalmar Zerna is an experienced Information System Security Officer with the US Navy since August 2017, responsible for maintaining the operational security posture of information systems and collaborating closely with the Information Systems Security Manager. Previously, Zalmar served as a System Administrator in a Windows environment, managing over 200 users, and held the position of Radio Communications Specialist, enhancing amphibious warfare capabilities through secure communication channels. Additional experience includes serving as an Information Systems Technician, managing communication operations on Navy vessels. Zalmar is also a member of the Order of the Sword and Shield, an honor society focused on homeland security and intelligence disciplines. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance at Western Governors University, expected to graduate in 2024.
