Hoa Nguyen

Hoa Nguyen has worked in a variety of roles since 2016. In 2016, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, where they researched on Deep Learning Text-to-speech system. That same year, they also worked as a Graduate Student and Software Developer at Simon Fraser University, where they worked with an agile team of 5-7 people to design, build and deliver products to industry clients. In 2017, they worked as a Full-stack Software Developer for Machool Technologies Ltd., where they built major functions of Shipping RESTful Web service and Dockerized and automated its deployment and scaling on Google Cloud App Engine. In 2020, they worked as a Software Engineer for realtor.com, where they monitored and maintained multiple RESTful microservices within their AWS infrastructure and enhanced the agent-consumer chat experience. Currently, they are working as a Software Engineer for Orderful and as a Technology Lead for Interactive Health International (IHI). At IHI, they are helping the team adopt Bitbucket Pipelines to enable a fully automated testing and deployment process.

Hoa Nguyen holds a Master's degree in Digital Media from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (Vietnam-France University).
