Justin Hong has a diverse work experience, starting in 2009 as the Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Highly Relevant, an Internet marketing company that was later acquired by Wpromote. Justin then transitioned to the role of Business Development Executive at Wpromote, where they focused on establishing partnerships and expanding the company's geographic presence. In 2014, they became the Head of Corporate Development at Wpromote, leading acquisition activities and financial responsibilities.

In 2017, Justin joined Shopify, initially as the Channel Partnerships Manager for Shopify Plus, where they worked with agency partners on the West Coast and recruited new partners to the program. Justin later served as the Partnerships Lead for North America West and incubated new partner groups for Shopify Plus. In 2019, they became the Partnerships Lead for New Partner Groups, focusing on consultants, integration partners, and digital marketing agencies. Additionally, Justin chaired the Talent & Professional Development Lead of the Asian Employee Resource Group at Shopify.

Justin also participated in various angel investing activities, including being an Angel Squad Member at Hustle Fund and an Angel Investor in multiple startups such as Alt, AngelList, Badaboom, Bokksu, and more. Justin also served as a mentor at the Alchemist Accelerator.

In 2021, Justin expanded their venture capital involvement by becoming a Venture Partner at Republic, where they facilitated investments in startups, real estate, crypto, and video game opportunities.

Most recently, in 2022 and 2023, Justin embarked on new ventures. Justin created and hosted a podcast called "The Asian American Athlete" and joined Ordergroove as an Enterprise Partnerships Manager.

Throughout their career, Justin has demonstrated a passion for entrepreneurship, partnerships, and investment, contributing to the growth and success of various companies.

Justin Hong attended the USC Marshall School of Business, where they pursued an MBA with a focus on Entrepreneurship. Prior to that, they studied at Vanderbilt University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. Justin also attended The Lawrenceville School, although the specifics of their degree and field of study are not provided.
