Richard Gavel

Richard Gavel has over 20 years of work experience. Richard began their career in 2002 as a Staff Developer at Charles Schwab. Richard then moved to Catalyst Software Solutions in 2007 as a Solution Architect. In 2009, they were a Contract Developer at JP Morgan Chase. From 2010 to 2016, they worked at Echo Global Logistics as a Principal Software Engineer/Software Architect - DevOps and Senior .NET Developer/Principal Software Engineer - .NET Development. In 2016, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Relativity and a Contract Senior Software Engineer at CDW. From 2017 to 2021, they were an Architect - DevOps Platform Team and Architect - Platform Architecture Team at CSG. In 2021, they became a Lead Consultant at Prime TSR and in 2022 they were a Senior Architect at EBSCO Information Services and a Technical Lead at Ordinary Experts.

Richard Gavel has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology, which they obtained between 1994 and 1996. Prior to this, they attended Moraine Valley Community College between 1992 and 1994. Before that, they were a student at the Illinois Mathematics & Science Academy (IMSA) from 1989 to 1991. Richard also holds certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS) as an AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate (2019) and an AWS Certified Solution Architect - Professional (2021), as well as a Terraform Associate certification from HashiCorp (2022).
