Alex Waugh

Principal Data Architect at Ordnance Survey

Alex Waugh has a diverse work experience, starting with a role at Ordnance Survey as a Geospatial Information Architect from August 2015 to November 2021. Following that, Alex worked as a Principal Data Architect at the same company from November 2021 to the present. Prior to this, Alex served as a Database Developer at GeoPlace LLP from April 2013 to August 2015. Alex also worked at London Borough of Southwark, first as a Local Land and Property Gazetteer Custodian from December 2007 to April 2011, and then as an Information and Data Manager from April 2011 to April 2013. Further back, Alex worked at Calderdale MBC as an Assistant Data Manager from October 2006 to November 2007. Lastly, Alex held the role of Address Point Team Leader at Ordnance Survey from July 2004 to September 2006.

Alex Waugh attended Staffordshire University from 1995 to 1998 where they studied Philosophy and Cultural Studies. Alex then went on to pursue an MSc in Enterprise Systems and Data Warehousing from the University of Greenwich from 2010 to 2013.
